Volunteer and Events Coordinator, L'Arche Highland

ABOUT THE ROLE

• Hours of work: 15 hours per week
• Salary: £27,610.61 FTE - £11,044.24 pro-rata
• Reports to: Community Leader
• Place of work: Hybrid: L’Arche Highland Office, Inverness
• Contract type: 12-month contract, possibly extendable depending upon funding

Main purpose of the role

As a Volunteer and Events Coordinator, you will:

• provide effective coordination, administration and support to volunteers, including recruitment, orientation, worker-related documentation and checks.
• link with local groups and volunteer networks to promote opportunities within L’Arche.
• be creative in the identification and development of roles that use volunteers’ skills to bring friendship and other benefits to the community.
• plan and support the delivery of events within the L’Arche Community.

Key essential criteria

• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to deal with a diverse range of people within L’Arche Highland and the wider community and establish relationships quickly.
• Self-motivated and ability to manage own workload on a daily basis and be accountable for the delivery of own workload.
• Commitment to the values of L’Arche and our roots as an ecumenical Christian organisation which is open to people who have faith, spiritual beliefs or no belief.
• Willing to engage in activities that support the development of community.
