We're looking for a Events Executive to help us take our events to the next level.

About the role:

As a Events Executive, you’ll support on the ongoing development of event products, with a focus on continuous improvement. You'll help bring compelling, supporter-focused products and propositions to life for the BHF.

  • Support iconic events: Support the end-to-end delivery, managing a portfolio of fantastic sporting events.
  • Stewardship excellence: Bring our events to life with sector-leading stewardship. You’ll plan and implement innovative strategies to enhance the supporter journey and maximise fundraising efforts.
  • Work collaboratively: Work closely with colleagues in the Product Events Delivery team across the UK and other expert functions within the organisation. You’ll build strategic relationships with internal stakeholders and suppliers, leading projects to drive continuous improvement and ensure resource availability and event growth.
  • Marketing: Partner with marketing, digital experience, and event-day teams to support the delivery memorable experiences and support event growth.
  • Budgeting and Finance: Accountable for entering and tracking budgets for all events in your portfolio, ensuring alignment with established KPIs.

This is a 12-month fixed-term opportunity created to provide additional capacity within our Events team during preparations for the London Marathon 2027. In 2027, the event is expected to operate as a one-off expanded two-day event, creating a temporary increase in workload across the team.

The successful candidate will support the delivery of events already within the British Heart Foundation portfolio. This additional resource will enable other members of the team to focus on work associated with the London Marathon 2027 project.

About you

  • Experience running income-generation campaigns from concept to delivery—ideally in fundraising, events, or product marketing.
  • A proven track record managing cross-functional projects and keeping stakeholders engaged.
  • Strong writing and digital skills, with an eye for detail and heart for storytelling.
  • A commercial mindset, with good analytical skills to back up ideas and drive performance.
  • Creativity, energy, and genuine enthusiasm for connecting people to powerful causes.

Working arrangements

This role is being recruited on a 12 month fixed-term basis because it has been created to support a temporary, time-limited increase in workload associated with preparations for the London Marathon 2027. The role is an additional position within the team and is not intended to form part of the team's ongoing establishment beyond the period of increased demand. The contract is therefore expected to end once the temporary resourcing requirement created by the London Marathon 2027 project has concluded.

This is a hybrid role, where your work will be split between your home and at least one day per week, on average, in our London Office. This may vary from time to time, so you will need to work in a flexible way to unlock your best work for our cause.
