• Type: Full-time, Permanent (Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 4:00 pm)

Role Overview

We are seeking a dedicated SEND Teacher to join our inclusive primary/secondary setting in Kingston. The successful candidate will deliver high-quality, differentiated instruction for pupils with a range of additional needs, fostering academic progress, independence, and confidence within a supportive, collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver tailored lessons in line with the National Curriculum and individual Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs)
• Conduct regular assessments, monitor progress, and adapt strategies to meet each learner's targets
• Work closely with class teachers, support staff and external agencies to coordinate interventions and ensure consistent provision
• Lead or co-lead small-group and one-to-one sessions, utilising evidence-based SEN methodologies
• Contribute to whole-school SEND policy development, safeguarding, and inclusive culture initiatives
• Maintain accurate records, produce timely reports for parents and stakeholders, and attend multidisciplinary meetings as required

Essential Qualifications & Experience

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – preferably with a Special Educational Needs (SEN) endorsement
• Minimum 2 years experience teaching pupils with SEND in a mainstream or specialist setting
• Strong knowledge of SEND legislation, EHCP processes and best-practice interventions
• Excellent communication, organisational and collaborative skills
