About the role

As hands-on Information Communications Technician Level 3 apprentice for our employer-partner who supplies the latest digital print solutions, document management systems, interactive AV and digital signage, IT and telecoms designed to increase your productivity.

Key responsibilities:

  • To offer support and guidance to our customer base, service engineers and 3rd party IT technicians who are using network photocopiers, scanners, fax and any other IT hardware solutions we provide.
  • Working alongside the Helpdesk manager, you will provide technical assistance for software setup/usage for customers that need help troubleshooting problems via diagnostic tests and remote access to their devices.
  • Responding to queries via email or phone
  • Training other staff members on troubleshooting and diagnosing problems
  • Resolving problems with networks and PCs/Macs
  • Diagnosing system errors on our hardware devices
  • Installing/updating software to fix issues with printing and scanning
  • Remotely access hardware to assist with diagnosing and resolving problems
  • Following up with customers for full resolution of issues
  • Take ownership of tasks allocated to yourself in a quick and courteous manner, ensuring company targets are met
  • Manage your personal and companies time effectively whilst performing your daily duties
  • Ensure the correct company procedures and guidelines are followed when using equipment in conjunction with company health and safety policies
  • To attend and be prepared for company/department meetings
  • To maintain and uphold the highest standard of workmanship
  • To attend and support any and all hospitality events held by the company
  • To be involved in projects as and when requested
  • To ensure that best practice is shared and implemented with your colleagues
  • To attend and have input into meetings with the company management team
  • Prepare / repair office equipment to a high level of workmanship and competency
  • Follow service department and health and safety procedures and share new and existing best practices with colleagues
