Pierview Academy provides continuity in learning for pupils with Education, Health and Care Plans. We are a short, medium and long-term provision for learners on the autistic spectrum or who have other special educational needs and challenging behaviour. We cater for young people in their secondary and post-16 school years. The overarching purpose of our provision is to work with learners so that they are able to overcome the barriers to learning that they have previously encountered. We aim to offer flexible, structured and supportive needs-led approaches.

We are looking for an English / Literacy Teacher to join our team, an ideal role for an Early Career Teacher or a qualified teacher looking to expand their skills and experience. You'll lead the teaching and learning of English to a small number of learners aged 11 upwards, bringing enthusiasm and a genuine passion for improving young people's life chances. You'll guide, direct and inspire a team of Tutors and LSAs working with both secondary and post-16 learners who have a range of special educational needs and disabilities, and contribute to the pastoral care of your form group, including liaison with parents and carers and tracking behaviour and interventions.

Pay: £35,100.00-£47,400.00 per year
