The role:
As an Area Security Manager UK , you will help drive our goals by:
- Leading the delivery of security strategy across Johnson Matthey’s UK operations, ensuring alignment with regional and global security objectives.
- Providing leadership, coaching and governance to site security teams and contracted security providers across multiple UK locations.
- Managing the performance and effectiveness of physical and technical security programmes, identifying opportunities to reduce risk and improve operational efficiency.
- Partnering with site leadership teams to deliver practical, commercially focused security solutions that protect people, assets and business operations.
- Leading security investigations, assurance activities and compliance reviews, driving the implementation of corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives.
Building strong relationships with external agencies, industry partners and regulatory bodies to maintain awareness of emerging threats, risks and security best practices.
Key skills that will help you succeed in this role:
- Significant experience in a senior security leadership role within a multinational industrial, manufacturing or corporate environment.
- Strong knowledge of physical, technical and procedural security controls, including access control, CCTV, alarm and integrated security systems.
- Proven experience managing security service contracts, vendor relationships and outsourced security personnel.
- Ability to assess complex security risks, conduct investigations and implement effective mitigation strategies across multiple sites.
- Strong stakeholder management, communication and influencing skills, with the ability to operate effectively at all levels of the organisation.
Degree-level qualification in Security Management, Risk Management, Business Management or a related discipline; ASIS CPP, CSMP, ISO Lead Auditor, IOSH or NEBOSH qualifications are advantageous.
