ANZUK Education is working with a friendly and inclusive co-educational secondary school with academy status in Addlestone, Surrey seeking a Science Teacher with particular specialisms in Chemistry and Biology to join their team. This permanent position offers the opportunity to deliver engaging Chemistry and Biology lessons across KS3–KS4 (and KS5 where applicable) within a supportive and collaborative school environment.

The school is part of a successful multi-academy trust of twenty-five schools across primary, secondary and special phases in Surrey, Hampshire and the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames, creating an environment where teachers are supported to thrive professionally while helping pupils achieve their full potential.

This Science Teacher role in Addlestone would suit confident ECTs or experienced secondary teachers with Chemistry and Biology specialisms looking to further develop their practice while taking on full teaching responsibilities within a well-supported department.

Key Responsibilities of a Science Teacher:

  • Deliver engaging and effective Chemistry & Biology lessons across KS3–KS4 (and KS5 where applicable) in line with the National Curriculum.
  • Adapt teaching approaches to meet the needs of different classes and learning abilities.
  • Maintain high expectations for pupil progress, attainment and behaviour.
  • Undertake full teaching responsibilities, including planning, assessment and marking.
  • Develop students' confidence and fluency in Science.
  • Follow school safeguarding, behaviour and reporting procedures, building positive relationships with students and staff.The Ideal Candidate Will:
  • Hold QTS or an equivalent UK-recognised teaching qualification (essential).
  • Be a confident ECT or an experienced teacher within the secondary phase.
  • Demonstrate strong knowledge of the Science curriculum for KS3–KS4, ideally with Chemistry and Biology specialisms.
  • Have the ability to inspire and motivate students of varying abilities, maintaining high expectations for pupil progress, attainment and behaviour.
  • Show an exemplary commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, with an enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one) and eligibility to work in the UK.
  • Work collaboratively and communicate effectively with colleagues and school leaders.What The School Offers:
