• What you would do

Typical responsibilities could include:

• Developing and maintaining C# applications and ASP.NET services within a microservices architecture
• Designing and implementing RESTful APIs that integrate across distributed systems
• Contributing to the development and optimization of cloud-based solutions using Azure
• Supporting the implementation and improvement of CI/CD pipelines to enable reliable deployments
• Writing clean, maintainable code and participating in code reviews with the wider development team
• Collaborating with frontend teams (React, Java, Spring Boot) and other engineers to deliver integrated solutions
• Troubleshooting and debugging applications, with exposure to containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes

Most roles of this type require the following:

• Strong practical experience with C# and .NET (ASP.NET Core preferred)
• Working knowledge of APIs, microservices and distributed systems architecture
• Experience with cloud platforms, particularly Azure
• Solid understanding of SQL and relational databases
• Familiarity with version control and CI/CD practices
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience
• Authorization to work in the United Kingdom

Nice-to-have experience could include:

• Microsoft Certified: Azure Developer Associate or similar Azure certification
• Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Exposure to additional languages or frameworks (Java, Spring Boot, Python, React)
• Understanding of infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform
• Experience working in Agile environments
