We are looking for an innovative registered nurse or midwife, with highly effective interpersonal skills to join the Professional and Practice Development Team in the role of Practice Education Facilitator. We are looking for a registrant with a well-developed skill set who can influence and negotiate effectively at all levels and use own initiative.

This post provides the opportunity to work collaboratively with others to support and enhance learning in healthcare environments for the benefit of all across NHS Tayside by:

  • Working in partnership with practice teams to develop and maintain high-quality practice learning environments through the development of Practice Supervisor/ and Assessor roles
  • Identifying and supporting the development of new Practice Learning Environments to effectively support nursing and midwifery students
  • Leading the delivery of programmes of work such as Flying Start
  • Contributing to the provision of a wide variety of supportive initiatives including Restorative Clinical Supervision and educational activities that meet both quality assurance standards and regulatory body requirements.
  • Encouraging a culture that supports and embeds the use of feedback and learning for the Practice Learning Environment to ensure continuous improvement.This exciting role is continually evolving in response to local and national needs, providing you with the scope to demonstrate and adopt new approaches to building high-quality teams and improving service delivery in line with person-centred values. At interview you will be able to share your commitment to continuing professional development

As part of the Practice and Professional Development Team, you will work closely with our Care Home Education Facilitator, Practice Education Facilitators and Practice Development Team members. You will have significant experience of supporting and assessing learning in a healthcare setting. You will also develop effective working relationships with practice assessors/ supervisors, service leaders and Higher Education Institutes to ensure support is provided across Tayside. You must have excellent organisational skills and be able to meet tight deadlines. The ability to travel across all parts of Tayside is a requirement of this role.
