Drum and Percussion Visiting Music Teacher

The Music Department at Dulwich College is looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Drum and Percussion Teacher to join our Music Department as a self-employed Visiting Music Teacher.

Requirements:

  • teaching one and a half days each week,
  • teaching availability on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
  • There is also the opportunity to support our Rock and Pop Project ensembles as an after-school tutor.We currently have over 70 students learning drum kit and percussion from Years 3–13. Students perform regularly in a wide range of ensembles, including Drumline, Percussion Ensembles, Rock Bands, Concert Band, Brass Band, Wind Band and Symphony Orchestra. There are also regular performance opportunities at venues including Cadogan Hall, Fairfield Halls and Southwark Cathedral.

We are looking for a reliable and engaging teacher with strong drum kit skills and a passion for inspiring young musicians.

Shortlisted applicants will be asked to give a demonstration lesson to a pupil provided by the Music Department and will be appointed subject to references and an enhanced DBS check.
