About the role
Job DescriptionThe Transportation Section have a vacancy for a Technician who will part of a team of professional and technical staff, carrying out all the functions of road safety, traffic engineering, transport planning and the construction of new roads to serve developments. The role provides technical support with regard to the processing and assessment of applications for Road Construction Consent, input into the consideration of transport aspects for planning applications and advice with respect to the preparation and implementation of traffic engineering schemes.
The role is a Career Graded post, which is suitable for an experienced Technician or an individual with relevant construction experience looking to progress their career in Civil Engineering. An opportunity to gain Civil Engineering qualifications would be available for a successful applicant seeking to progress their career, in conjunction with experiential learning in the workplace.
