Be part of our Wildflower Group
Help us shape the next chapter of something special.
At Wildflower, we’re an established and well-known early years group with a strong reputation for providing high-quality childcare and creating wonderful experiences for children and families.
Now, we’re entering an exciting new chapter.
We’re rebranding our nurseries as Wildflower to bring our identity, culture and brand into closer alignment with the values that have always been at the heart of what we do and Twickenham will be the first nursery to lead the way.
That makes this a particularly exciting time to join us.
We’re looking for an exceptional Senior Nursery Manager with significant Early Years experience, a proven track record of leadership and the ambition to make a genuine difference.
This isn’t about coming in and simply keeping things ticking over.
We want someone who can develop our team, strengthen our practice, grow our nursery and help bring the Wildflower values to life every day.
Your opportunity to make an impact
As our Senior Nursery Manager in Twickenham, you’ll play a key role in shaping this exciting next chapter.
You’ll have the autonomy to bring your experience, leadership and ideas to the setting, while being supported by our wider Senior Leadership, HR, Early Years and operational teams.
This role also comes with a genuine opportunity to increase your overall earnings through an occupancy-linked bonus. As you build the nursery’s reputation, strengthen relationships with families and help drive occupancy, your success will be recognised through our performance-related bonus structure.
We believe that when our leaders successfully grow their nursery, develop their team and create an exceptional experience for children and families, they should share in that success.
You’ll be responsible for:
Leading and developing your team, creating a culture where people feel valued, supported and motivated to be their best
- Coaching, mentoring and developing practitioners, room leaders and emerging leaders across the nursery
- Driving exceptional Early Years practice and ensuring children receive the very best experiences
- Bringing the Wildflower values to life, ensuring they are reflected throughout the nursery
- Leading the nursery through its transition into the Wildflower brand and helping establish Twickenham as a flagship Wildflower setting
- Growing the nursery, strengthening its reputation within the local community and building strong relationships with existing and prospective families
- Identifying and delivering opportunities to improve occupancy, with your success directly recognised through our occupancy-linked bonus
- Driving team performance, practice and the overall nursery experience
- Leading confidently on EYFS, safeguarding, compliance and quality improvement
- Setting clear expectations, managing performance and creating accountability while maintaining a supportive and positive culture
- Building exceptional relationships with families and ensuring they feel genuinely connected to the nursery
- Working closely with the wider Senior Leadership Team to share ideas, challenge thinking and help shape the future of Wildflower
We’re looking for experience, leadership and ambition
This is a Senior Manager position, and we’re looking for someone with the experience and ambition to match.
You’ll ideally have significant experience managing a nursery or large Early Years setting and a strong understanding of what it takes to create a successful, high-performing environment.
You’ll be someone who:
Has significant Nursery Management or Senior Management experience
- Has extensive knowledge across the EYFS, safeguarding and Ofsted requirements
- Has a proven track record of developing teams and improving practice
- Is confident coaching, mentoring and challenging others to reach their potential
- Can lead change and bring people with you
- Understands the operational and commercial side of running a successful nursery
- Has experience supporting nursery growth, occupancy or business development
- Is motivated by the opportunity to grow a successful nursery and be rewarded for delivering strong occupancy and performance
- Is confident managing performance and having difficult conversations when necessary
- Builds exceptional relationships with children, families and colleagues
- Is commercially aware while never losing sight of what really matters, the children
- Is ambitious, proactive and always looking for the next opportunity to improve
And while experience is incredibly important, so is who you are as a leader.
We want someone warm, inspiring and approachable. Someone who leads with confidence but listens. Someone who can set high standards while creating an environment where people genuinely enjoy coming to work.
Most importantly, we’re looking for someone who wants to build something.
Why Twickenham?
Because you’ll be joining us at a really exciting point in the Wildflower journey.
Twickenham is the first nursery in our group to transition fully into the Wildflower brand, giving you the opportunity to play a significant role in shaping how that brand is experienced by children, families and our team.
You won’t be expected to do it alone.
You’ll have the support of our wider Senior Leadership Team, but we want you to bring your own experience, ideas and leadership style to the table.
We want you to challenge us.
We want you to make things better.
And we want you to help create a nursery that sets the standard for the rest of the Wildflower group.
For the right person, this could also be an exciting opportunity to develop your career further as Wildflower continues to grow, with genuine opportunities to progress into wider senior and area leadership.
