About the role

  • Location: St Matthew’s Catholic Primary School, Highfield Lane, Prudhoe, Northumberland, NE42 6EY
  • Grade: Grade G, SCP 19-23 (£32,061 - £34,434 per annum, pro rata)
  • Hours: Full Time, 30 Hours Per Week, Permanent, Term Time Only plus 3 days

We are thrilled to announce an exciting opportunity for a Higher-Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our dedicated team at St Matthew’s Catholic Primary School in Prudhoe, from mid October.

The successful candidate will:

  • Be an enthusiastic and motivated practitioner with high expectations of themselves and for our children
  • Be willing to join our staff team to further improve outcomes for our children and participate fully in the life of our vibrant school
  • Have an understanding of the needs of SEND children across our nurturing and inclusive school, supporting class teachers in reviewing short term SMART targets on SEND support plans
  • Have experience of delivering a Phonics programme
  • Be able to work with parents to provide the very best support for all our children
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
