School Crossing Patrol

Do you have half an hour to spare in the morning or afternoon? Are you the kind of person who naturally looks out for others and loves working as part of a community?

We are currently looking for a dedicated School Crossing Patrol officer in East Ayton who wants to make a real difference to their local community.

The Role

Our school crossing patrols keep children and adults safe on their daily school journeys, providing a vital service to the local community.

Duty times : Monday–Friday 8.20am – 9 am and 15.10 - 15.45 (5 hours 50 minutes per week) 

Your duties will include:

• Ensure safe road crossing for children and pedestrians during patrol times
• Stop traffic using the official ‘STOP’ sign
• Conduct pre-duty health and safety checks of the crossing site
• Report any hazards, equipment issues, or site concerns to the Patrol Officer
• Wear and maintain approved uniform and equipment
