An opportunity has arisen for a Prevention Officer within Preston City Council’s Homelessness Advice & Prevention Service (HAPS) to offer practical advice and support to households that are threatened with homelessness and to ensure that the service meets it’s legal duties under the Homeless Reduction Act 2017.
The service offers a wide range of homeless prevention options to a diverse range of clients. The successful candidate will have excellent communication, negotiation and influencing skills.
There will be ongoing training opportunities to update and refresh work skills and homelessness legislation knowledge.
