Graduate Property Surveyor at Gedling Borough Council in Nottingham

About the role

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our Property Services Team as a Graduate Property Surveyor that offers the flexibility to use your initiative and make a tangible impact across our key assets.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the Council's commercial portfolio dealing with new lettings, lease renewals, rent reviews, and lease compliance as well as assisting with the production of the Council's asset valuations and ensuring the Council's property information systems are kept up to date.

You will be responsible for inspecting, managing, and maintaining the wider Council portfolio that includes offices, pavilions, community centres and other land interests to ensure it complies with all aspects of health & safety regulations

The role is varied; you will need to be a confident communicator with the ability to analyse data, support cross-functional project teams and produce reports for decision making in a timely manner. The Council is looking to support the successful candidate through the RICS APC to become Chartered and will provide the appropriate experience and training.

Our offices are based in Arnold on the outskirts of the city of Nottingham in a pleasant ‘green flag’ parkland setting with good public transport links.

The role may involve entering Police offices within the Civic Centre, and the successful candidate will be required to pass NPPV Level 2 (Non-Police Personnel Vetting) checks before appointment to the post.
