Contract: 36.75 hours per week, Full - Time, Permanent. Flexibility to work weekends and potential nights could be required. This role benefits from a combination of protected administration hours with the advantage of time on the floor supporting your team.

About the Role
We're looking for a dedicated Residential Care Lead who will ensure that our residents and those who care for them can flourish. In this vital role, you will be at the forefront of driving a culture of excellence and fostering an environment for your lead area where our staff feel valued, supported, and engaged. There are 34 residential rooms across three floors, in addition to 18 nursing rooms managed separately by a qualified clinical lead.
What You'll Do
- Lead and promote a high‑quality, compassionate service, ensuring compliance with our Regulatory Bodies, including CQC, and Safeguarding.
- Work closely with the home leadership team to maintain a safe, happy, and well‑run environment for residents
- Oversee admissions, care planning, reviews, and medication management to agreed standards for your area
- Support residents' personal care, wellbeing, independence, and engagement, liaising with external professionals as needed
- Manage, support, and develop colleagues in your lead area, including rotas and safe staffing within budget
- Complete audits, investigations, and administrative tasks in line with organisational procedures
- Ensure high-quality care, through visibility, supervision, appraisals and conducting regular team meetings.
Qualifications & Skills
- Level 4 Diploma in Lead Practitioner, or equivalent qualification.
- Strong communication, leadership and IT skills
- A sound knowledge of the Care Workers Code of Conduct
You will be supported by Senior Care Assistants who manage the residential units on a day-to-day level. They are highly trained and provide hands-on care to residents while supervising and supporting other care staff to ensure high-quality, person-centred care.
