About the role

Job Description

About You

You’re someone who enjoys figuring things out rather than waiting for instructions.

You don’t need to know every industry before you start, but you do need the curiosity to research customers, understand buying cycles and learn quickly. You’re comfortable speaking to new people, picking up the phone when required and adapting your approach depending on the client and market.

You take ownership of problems rather than escalating them unnecessarily. When something needs doing, you get started, make sensible commercial decisions, communicate clearly and ask good questions when you genuinely need support.

You’ll enjoy this role if you like variety. One week you could be helping an engineering business generate new opportunities, the next supporting a healthcare provider, then working alongside a founder to develop strategy for another client.

You want to build a career rather than simply fill a sales role.

About the Role

You are joining the team to

Help Easenby Enterprises deliver measurable sales growth for both existing clients and the company’s own commercial development by taking ownership of outsourced sales activities across multiple client accounts.

Your average customer may range from:

  • SME owners and Managing Directors
  • Commercial and Sales Directors
  • Operations Managers
  • Procurement and Buying Managers
  • Transport and Logistics Managers
  • HR and Business Leaders
  • Growing businesses across sectors including engineering, healthcare, logistics, facilities management, recruitment, energy and professional services.

Success in your first year looks like:

  • Successfully managing multiple client accounts with minimal day-to-day supervision.
  • Creating qualified sales opportunities and helping convert them into profitable commercial outcomes.
  • Becoming a trusted point of contact for clients through consistent communication, ownership and delivery.
  • Contributing to Easenby’s own business development alongside client delivery.
  • Building the commercial capability to take greater responsibility as the business expands.

To achieve this, you will:

  • Research new markets, industries and customer buying behaviour.
  • Build prospect lists using modern sales tools and AI where appropriate.
  • Generate opportunities through telephone outreach, email campaigns, LinkedIn and other suitable channels.
  • Attend client meetings alongside the founder before progressing to managing relationships independently.
  • Develop sales strategies for individual client accounts.
  • Maintain CRM accuracy and provide meaningful reporting rather than activity for activity’s sake.
  • Identify commercial opportunities to improve client performance.
  • Work across different sales cycles, from transactional opportunities through to longer consultative projects.

Activity Expectations

This role requires someone who understands that commercial results come from disciplined activity rather than waiting for ideal circumstances.

Some days will involve strategic planning, client meetings and account development. Other days will require focused prospecting, researching new markets or generating outbound activity. The work changes according to client needs, and successful people enjoy that variety rather than resisting it.

You will be expected to:

  • Take ownership of your daily priorities.
  • Research clients before engaging prospects.
  • Maintain accurate CRM records and activity reporting.
  • Build and manage sales pipelines across multiple client accounts.
  • Use data to improve your approach rather than relying on assumptions.
  • Ask for coaching early when knowledge gaps appear.
  • Follow through on commitments made to clients and colleagues.
  • Use AI and modern technology to improve productivity where appropriate.

Reward

Basic salary of £35,000–£45,000 , depending on your ability to become productive quickly.

Uncapped commission. Target earnings of £100,000+ are achievable through successful delivery and business generation.

You’ll also have access to an uncapped commission structure linked to commercial outcomes, giving realistic six-figure earning potential for high performers who consistently create and deliver revenue.

Essential Criteria

  • Previous experience of taking sales from initial prospecting through to closed deals.
  • Confidence communicating with senior decision-makers by phone, online and in person.
  • Evidence of taking ownership and delivering measurable commercial outcomes.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Comfortable learning new industries, products and customer challenges.
  • Full UK driving licence.

Advantageous Criteria

  • Experience creating email sequences, using CRM systems or leveraging AI tools to improve sales productivity.
  • Exposure to working across different industries or varied customer types.

About Us

Easenby Enterprises partners with ambitious businesses that want to accelerate commercial growth without building large internal sales functions. The company provides outsourced sales support, sales strategy and commercial consultancy, helping clients generate sustainable revenue growth across a range of industries. Its long-term ambition is to become a trusted growth partner for businesses by combining disciplined sales execution with high-performing people and measurable results.

Our Culture

Our culture is built around ownership, commercial thinking and continuous improvement.

People are trusted to make sensible decisions, communicate openly and solve problems rather than waiting for perfect instructions. We value ambition, accountability, coaching and doing the right thing for clients over simply completing tasks. Success is celebrated as a team, knowledge is shared and everyone is expected to contribute to raising standards as the business grows.

Your Team

You’ll report directly to the Founder, working closely alongside them during onboarding before gradually taking greater ownership of client accounts.

Expect regular coaching, daily check-ins during your initial development, direct exposure to client meetings and continuous feedback designed to accelerate your commercial development. As the business grows, this role has the opportunity to develop into a leadership position with responsibility for supporting and coaching future team members.

Benefits

  • Hybrid working (typically 2–3 days in the office and the remainder remote, depending on business and client needs).
  • Structured coaching and direct mentoring from the Founder.
  • Uncapped commission with genuine progression opportunities as the business scales.
