About the role
A Managed Service Provider (MSP) based in Bedford is seeking a technology-focused Junior Cyber Security Support Analyst to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to begin a career in cyber security while gaining exposure to a variety of client environments.
KEY DUTIES
- Assist with monitoring client systems for security alerts and suspicious activity.
- Support the deployment and maintenance of security software, including antivirus and endpoint protection tools.
- Help perform routine cyber security checks and ensure systems remain up to date with the latest patches.
- Assist with user account administration, including password resets and multi-factor authentication setup.
- Record and document security incidents, support requests, and resolutions within the service desk system.
- Work with senior engineers to investigate security concerns and implement preventative measures.
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
- A strong interest in cyber security and information technology.
- Excellent attention to detail and a willingness to follow established processes.
- Good communication skills and the ability to provide professional customer service.
- An eagerness to learn new technologies and develop technical skills.
- Basic knowledge of computer systems, networking, or cyber security concepts would be advantageous.
- A positive attitude with a desire to build a long-term career within the IT and cyber security sector.
