About the role

The Research Office is seeking to recruit two Business Administration Apprentices to join our new Business Support Function. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain experience in a variety of areas and a qualification that will create a firm foundation for a future career in administration

As part of the Business Support Function, you will provide administrative and operational support across the Research Office. Working within a collaborative team, you will contribute to a wide range of activities and projects across Research Services, helping to deliver high-quality support services to colleagues across the department.

The role offers the opportunity to gain experience across a variety of business support activities, supporting colleagues in different areas of the Research Office whilst studying to complete a Business and Administration Level 3 Qualification using the skills and knowledge you have built up to complete your projects and assignments.

You should hold GCSE qualifications (or equivalent) in English and Mathematics at Grade C/4 or above. You will have experience using basic IT applications, including word processing, spreadsheets and email systems, together with strong organisational, communication and time-management skills. We are looking for enthusiastic individuals with a willingness to learn, a positive approach and an interest in developing a career in business support and administration.

The University is unable to provide sponsorship under the Skilled Worker visa route for this role, as it does not meet the minimum skill and/or salary requirements.
