About the opportunity

This is an opportunity to register your interest in future Data Analyst roles within our expanding data and business intelligence function. We're looking for analytical professionals who can help transform raw data into actionable insights, supporting decision-making across the organisation.

Roles of this type may sit within a collaborative team environment in London, working alongside data specialists, engineers and business stakeholders to ensure data quality, accessibility and alignment with organisational needs. The work could involve gathering data requirements from multiple teams, building and maintaining data pipelines, analysing data quality, and engaging with stakeholders to understand and deliver against their analytical needs. This is a contract position, offering flexible engagement on a day rate of £400–500 per day.

What you would do

Typical responsibilities could include:

• Gathering and clarifying data requirements from business stakeholders and technical teams
• Designing and supporting the alignment of data pipelines to meet analytical and operational needs
• Conducting data quality analysis to identify gaps, inconsistencies and improvement opportunities
• Documenting data specifications, lineage and quality standards
• Engaging with stakeholders to translate business questions into data-driven solutions
• Supporting the creation of reports and dashboards using tools such as Power BI
• Collaborating with engineers and architects to ensure data systems meet analytical requirements
• Contributing to the definition and monitoring of data quality metrics

What you could bring

Most roles of this type require the following:

• Demonstrable experience in data requirements gathering and stakeholder engagement
• Strong analytical mindset with proficiency in SQL and data manipulation
• Experience with data pipeline design and data quality assessment
• Proficiency with Excel and familiarity with analytics or visualisation tools (Power BI preferred)
• Bachelor's degree in Mathematics or a related quantitative field
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a collaborative environment

Nice-to-have qualifications include:

• Master's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science or a related field
• Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS
• Familiarity with Python or other programming languages
• Knowledge of financial analysis or operational metrics
• Background in SAP S/4HANA, SAP ECC or other enterprise data systems
