Apprentice Electrician at Equans in Lancashire

EQUANS are looking for an Apprentice Electrician for our Royal Blackburn Teaching Hospital contract. This role would be a 48-month Apprenticeship working 40 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary and benefits package.

General Overview:

The Apprentice Electrician will actively learn and develop their knowledge, skills, and experience to complete their Electrical qualifications. This person will develop onsite experience through assisting and learning from Technical Operatives and Leads. This will include learning about electrical and repair and maintenance work.

  • Be actively involved in the learning, personal development and apprenticeship training
  • To assist in maintenance repairs and installation of electrical systems on a full range properties
  • To be willing to learn to interpret design drawings, diagrams, manufacturers specifications and instructions
  • Maintain and care for all company tools

Ensure that the services provided are to the highest quality/standard with due recognition of client and customer requirements and ensuring all works are carried out in accordance with EQUANS customer care values and Equal Opportunities Policies

Impact:

The Apprentice Electrician will aid revenues generated through reactive & minor works within the contract and will gain an electrical qualification once the Apprenticeship is complete with opportunity to progress to a Technical Operative – Electrical position.

Complexity:

The apprentice will be required to assist in carrying out support to all operations from building maintenance, operations and management assistance of all tasks.

Day to day work will include:

  • Health and safety compliance and management
  • Quality checks and compliance
  • Contributing to the operational performance of the site
  • Contributing to the key performance indicators of the site
  • Managing small project works
  • Helpdesk to include dealing with client requests, relationship management and work allocation
  • Liaising with sub-contractors and our own skilled staff
  • Customer satisfaction monitoring
  • Compliance documentation
  • Customer service

Qualifications or Required Experience:

  • 5 GCSE’s at Grade A-C including maths and English
  • Previous work experience
  • A passion for facilities management
