Hours Required: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday. The family are flexible regarding the daily schedule and are happy to agree the exact hours with the successful candidate. An earlier finish on Fridays may be possible.

Driver: Driver with own car preferred, but not essential.

Overview

A family who have recently moved to Battersea are looking for an experienced and proactive Housekeeper Nanny to take responsibility for the day-to-day care and organisation of their four-bedroom family home, alongside some after-school support for their 8-year-old son.

This is very much a housekeeping-led position, with an approximate 75% housekeeping and 25% childcare split. The family are looking for someone with excellent housekeeping standards who takes pride in keeping a home clean, organised and running smoothly. Strong laundry and ironing skills are important, together with the ability to prepare good family meals.

During the school day, the focus will predominantly be on the home, including cleaning, laundry, ironing, household organisation, cooking, shopping and general household tasks. The childcare element will centre around school collection and supporting their son with his after-school routine.

The family are looking for someone proactive who can work independently, manage their own workload and see what needs doing without requiring constant direction. They particularly value professionalism, discretion, reliability and someone who understands the importance of respecting a family's routines and privacy.

The successful candidate will be warm and engaging with their son while maintaining appropriate professional boundaries. This would suit an experienced private household professional who enjoys the combination of taking responsibility for a home while also providing some childcare and wider family support.

The family are looking for someone who wants to make a long-term commitment to the position.

Key Responsibilities

Housekeeping and Family Support

• Cleaning and maintaining the four-bedroom family home to a high standard
• Managing the household laundry and ironing, including changing bed linen and caring for household linens
• Keeping bedrooms, bathrooms and living areas clean, organised and well presented
• Maintaining good household organisation and keeping on top of day-to-day household requirements
• Keeping household supplies stocked and organised
• Running household errands as required
• Ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the home
• Walking, feeding and providing general day-to-day care for the family's Mini Cockapoo

Cooking

• Preparing good family meals, including menu planning, food preparation and grocery shopping
• Keeping the kitchen clean, organised and well stocked

Childcare

• School collection and after-school care for the family's 8-year-old son
• Supporting his after-school routines
• Preparing snacks and meals
• Providing appropriate care and supervision

Requirements

• Previous experience working as a Housekeeper, Housekeeper Nanny or in a similar private household position
• Excellent housekeeping, cleaning, laundry and ironing skills
• Confident family cooking ability
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
• Proactive and able to work independently and manage your own workload
• Professional, discreet, reliable and trustworthy
• Confident and comfortable caring for a school-aged child
• Dog friendly and happy to assist with pet care
• Driver preferred but not essential
• Looking for a stable, long-term position
