Paws Indoors Southend is an established industry leading Dog Daycare & Enrichment Centre in Southend. Our canine enrichment is all about providing activities and environments that look after your dog’s physical, mental, and emotional wellbeing. As the saying goes, ‘variety is the spice of life’, and the same applies to your dog. Established since 2017 we have gained our 5 star licence. This position is to work within the Puppy School (Little Paws).

Doggy lovers, we’re on the hunt for a new team member to join our paw-some pack. We’re officially licensed by Chelmsford Council, making us the top dog daycare destination in Southend and beyond! So, if you’re a dynamic doggy enthusiast, come bark up our tree!

Now, here’s the scoop on the job. You’ll be supporting the manager with day-to-day operations, duties will include but not limited to;

• working in the Puppy School (Little Paws)
• greeting dogs as they arrive
• entertaining dogs in a safe and engaging way

keeping things tidy & clean,

supporting other staff in getting activities ready

doing training with a group of dogs.

Desired Qualification

No specific qualifications required but a good all round education preferred with Maths and English GCSE’s, or equivalents, as a minimum.

Applicants MUST NOT already hold a level 2 or higher in animal care to be eligible.

Future Progression

Most of our learners stay if they have reached the desired development. If they do not, they usually go on to do grooming or vet nursing.

Training

The apprentice will be working to build a portfolio of evidence and will be required to pass a knowledge test and an End Point Assessment (EPA) to complete the apprenticeship.

All training will take place at the work location and the applicant will complete an animal care apprenticeship in full.

Paws Indoors Southend is a 5 minute walk from Southend Victoria Station and 5 minutes from Southend high street.

As there is an element of customer facing within this role we expect your appearance & uniform to represent the professionalism of our business.

This is a fast paced job role so be prepared to be on your feet.
