About The Role

The Project Coordinator supports the PMO in the delivery of deployment-based projects across the UK and EU. Working closely with engineering, subcontracting, resourcing and customer teams, the role helps ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and safely, while coordinating the people, materials, equipment and documentation required to support successful project delivery.

What You’ll Do

  • Engineer Scheduling: Assist with the scheduling of engineers in line with project SLAs, working with the Sub-Contracting Team, Engineering Team Leads and Workforce Scheduling Coordinators, including raising tickets on the Salesforce Field Service ticketing system.
  • Site Access: Arrange site access and permits as required by projects and in line with project schedules, including maintaining access records and key logs where relevant.
  • Materials Management: Identify required consumables and parts, place and track orders, and coordinate deliveries to site.
  • Tools & Equipment: Coordinate and track tools and test equipment between field staff, ensuring relevant systems are kept up to date.
  • Project Documentation: Communicate project requirements to engineers and audit project documentation, including arranging field quality audits.
  • Reporting: Provide internal and customer reporting as required by individual projects.
  • Project SharePoint: Create and maintain project-specific SharePoint sites for the storage and distribution of project documentation, including Project Definition Documents, trackers, installation completion documentation, audit documentation, field work packs and RAMS.
  • Customer & Engineer Coordination: Act as a point of contact between engineers and customers while work is being carried out on site.
  • Engineering Escalation: Escalate engineering issues to the relevant Manager.
  • KPI Reporting: Assist Resourcing with reporting on completed activities and KPI reporting.
  • Financial & Commercial Support: Manage simple profit and loss statements and provide financial and commercial support, including signing acceptance reports and invoicing against customer purchase orders.
  • Customer Meetings: Represent the company in customer meetings and conference calls, either in an assisting or primary role.
  • Team Support: Provide holiday cover for absent colleagues as required.

About You

What We Are Looking For

  • Education: Minimum of 5 GCSEs or equivalent, including Maths and English.
  • Microsoft Office: Advanced skills in Outlook, Excel, MS Word, MS Visio and PowerPoint.
  • SharePoint: Knowledge of working with SharePoint or other cloud-based storage systems is essential.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills, with the ability to interact confidently with people at all levels.
  • Attention to Detail: High attention to detail and the ability to manage project information accurately.
  • Organisation: Strong organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise events and deliverables and work logically.
  • Pragmatic Approach: A pragmatic approach to dealing with unexpected and challenging events.
  • Teamwork & Initiative: Able to work effectively as part of a team and on own initiative, while being comfortable seeking support when necessary.
  • Project Coordination Experience: Previous Project Coordinator experience is preferred.
  • Industry Experience: Previous experience in the Telecoms industry would be a strong advantage. Experience in DCN or subsea is also advantageous.
