A family based in Ham, Richmond is looking for an experienced and reliable Part-Time Housekeeper to join their household on a long-term basis.

This is a varied position combining hands-on housekeeping with family laundry, ironing and wardrobe management, alongside cooking and some light household errands. The family has high standards and is looking for someone who takes real pride in their work, has excellent attention to detail and can independently manage their responsibilities to keep the home clean, tidy and well organised.

Cooking forms an important part of the role. The family enjoys a varied diet with dishes from around the world and particularly enjoys Asian cuisine. They are looking for someone who is a confident and capable family cook, enjoys preparing fresh meals and can help with menu planning for the week ahead.

The family's preferred working pattern is Monday, Wednesday and Friday, as they would ideally like the working days spread across the week to keep the home consistently maintained. However, there is flexibility around the exact days, and other working patterns can be considered for the right candidate.

This is a private family home, so discretion and professionalism are important. The family is looking for someone responsible and dependable who can become a trusted and established part of their household.

Key Responsibilities

Housekeeping

• General housekeeping, cleaning and upkeep of the family home
• Family laundry, ironing and wardrobe management
• Keeping the home tidy and organised
• Occasional errands and light shopping

Cooking

• Preparing fresh family meals
• Menu planning for the week ahead
• Preparing a varied range of dishes, with confidence cooking Asian cuisine particularly welcomed

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Housekeeper within a private household
• High standards of housekeeping and excellent attention to detail
• Confident and capable family cook
• Professional and discreet, with an understanding of privacy within a family home
• Organised and able to manage workload independently
• Conversational English with the ability to communicate clearly with the family
• Reliable, responsible and committed to a long-term position
