  • Salary: £38,202.50 per annum

We have an opportunity for a skilled, reliable, and hardworking General Operative to join a dedicated housing repairs and maintenance team in Ealing.

Responsibilities:

  • Carrying out mould washes to help maintain clean, safe and well-presented properties
  • Installing fixtures such as curtains, blinds and door handles, drawing on basic maintenance experience and a keen eye for detail
  • Carrying out painting and decorating tasks, demonstrating strong organisational skills and taking pride in the quality of presentation
  • Fixing leaking waste pipes and carrying out minor plumbing repairs, using practical knowledge and a proactive approach to problem-solving
  • Replacing light bulbs and checking smoke alarms, demonstrating a proactive approach to property safety and compliance
  • Supporting cleaning and waste collection duties, with full training provided and opportunities to develop new skills
  • Working collaboratively within the Repairs and Maintenance team, demonstrating reliability, flexibility and strong teamwork
  • Delivering excellent customer service across all tasks, maintaining a professional, respectful and customer-focused approach
  • Communicating effectively with colleagues and residents, using clear verbal communication and strong interpersonal skills
  • Making decisions and resolving problems independently when required, demonstrating confidence, initiative and sound judgement
  • Maintaining high standards of health and safety, quality and cost control, while working in a methodical, reliable and professional manner

Requirements:

  • Full UK Driving Licence (manual)
  • Basic Criminal Record Check (DBS)
