Role Overview

Looking for experience in Medical Education, Medical Communications, Medical Writing or Account management?

Medscape is offering the opportunity for a Life Sciences graduate to gain valuable experience in an intern role within our Medical Affairs division this summer.

You will support sales in identifying key opportunities and help build new business opportunities with our customers. We are seeking a scientifically curious, AI-savvy, detail-oriented communicator who thrives in fast-paced environments and leverages technology to drive efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

Account / Sales Support: Partner with the sales team to support prospecting, congress activity, account activity, documentation, and client-facing meetings or events.

Relationship Management: Cultivate internal partnerships to ensure seamless, on-time project execution.

Market Intelligence: Monitor industry trends, competitive activity, and emerging tech to identify and prospect new sales opportunities.

Opportunity Building - Proactive outreach in preparation for autumn medical conferences and generally to generate meetings for the sales team.

Qualifications

Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences

Industry Knowledge: Interest in pharmaceutical industry essential; level of comfort with medical / scientific terminology, medical education / publishing.

Technical Skills: Proficiency in Google Suite, MS Office, Workfront, and data tools like Tableau or Salesforce.

Core Competencies: Exceptional communication, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks under tight deadlines.

Flexibility: Ability to work both independently and collaboratively

This is a paid 2-3 month internship offering a monthly stipend of £2000 - £2200 per month based on experience. Attendance in the central London office once per week is a strong preference.
