Via East Midlands are currently seeking a Contract Agent to join our Construction Delivery team based out of our Gamston Depot in Nottingham.

What you'll do:
Interpret construction drawings, specifications and schedules to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time and within budget.
Proactively manage health, safety and environmental risks across all projects and team activities.
Control project costs, maximise profitability and deliver strong financial performance.
Provide technical leadership and guidance to improve safety, quality and operational performance.
Deputise for the Contracts Manager when required.
Develop and communicate detailed project plans and delivery programmes.
Manage the safe and compliant use of vehicles, plant and equipment.
Coach and develop team members to enhance skills, performance and career progression.
Ensure accurate and compliant project records are maintained throughout all stages of work.
Monitor KPIs, budgets and productivity to optimise performance and deliver value for customers.
Lead employee performance, wellbeing, training and workforce development activities.
Investigate accidents, incidents and performance issues, implementing corrective actions and sharing lessons learned.
What we're seeking:
Level 3 qualification in Civil Engineering or a related technical discipline, or equivalent industry experience.
Relevant industry qualifications (e.g. NRSWA, SSSTS, Temporary Works Co-ordinator, CITB).
Strong knowledge of health, safety and environmental regulations within civil engineering and construction.
Experience preparing and reviewing Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS).
Good understanding of construction plant, materials and highway maintenance techniques.
Proven experience managing and planning construction or maintenance projects valued at £1m+.
Strong commercial awareness with experience of cost control and financial management.
Competent user of Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word and Excel.
Full UK driving licence.
