About the role
Job summary
Are you an experienced Sonographer looking to pick up extra shifts during the week? Medicare are currently looking for Sonographers to work weekends completing obstetric ultrasound scans scans for our client in the United Kingdom.
We offer Flexible Contracts that allow our candidates to choose their preferred working days, hours and locality which allows them to work around their schedule. Multiple positions available! Please note we may close this vacancy early depending on the number of applications received.
Main duties of the job To perform obstetric scans in an NHS hospital setting in order to assist with reducing backlogs To provide a high standard of work ensuring that the ultrasound examinations of patients are carried out efficiently

To carry out obstetric ultra sound Scans and report independently delivering a high standard of work To promote a multi disciplinary approach to patient care within the trust, ensuing a patient centred approach to care MUST have CASE accredited Qualification MUST have a valid Downs Syndrome Screening Quality Assurance Support Service (DQASS) identification number.
Person Specification
Experience Essential Must have a minimum of 2 years post qualification experience of working in the NHS completing obstetric ultrasound scans.

Essential Must have completed a postgraduate certificate or a postgraduate diploma in medical or clinical ultrasound Disclosure and Barring Service Check This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions.
