We are currently seeking an experienced individual to join us as the Deputy Head of Health .
This is a full-time role, working 37 hours per week.
Interviews for this role will take place on-site, at one of our college campuses in Weston-super-Mare.
The person appointed will support the Head of Area to lead a team of staff in the delivery, development and improvement of all learning programmes within their area.
Day to day duties
Supporting the design and development of a wide curriculum that meets the needs of learners, supports growth, and enables them to develop the skills, knowledge and behaviours they need to progress into meaningful sustained destinations.
Managing and developing the implementation of the curriculum that creates an outstanding learner experience. Managing, motivating and developing a team of staff and supporting their career journeys while championing a cycle of continuous improvement.
- To work collaboratively with cross-college teams to ensure the wider knowledge, skills and behaviours learners need are planned and developed coherently (e.g., Maths, English, Careers, Personal Development, digital etc.)
Required skills and qualifications
Level 4 Teaching Qualification.
A Vocational qualification at a minimum of Level 3, which is appropriate to the area. Knowledge and experience of current teaching, learning and assessment strategies.
- Experience in working effectively with employers / partners to develop current and new provisions.
