An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Personal Assistant within the Orthopaedic & Major Trauma Directorate at the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh.
This is a busy but rewarding post where you will be responsible for the provision of high-quality administrative support to the Clinical Service Manager and Clinical Nurse Manager. Working closely with the Assistant Service Manager and Directorate Assistant, you will be responsible for a range of activities, including complex diary management, comprehensive meeting support, production of quality correspondence and reports, effective record keeping and data entry. You will have experience of using Microsoft office packages to a high level and be very comfortable with data base use. You will need to be highly organised, have excellent IT skills and be able to remain calm under pressure. Excellent communication skills and the ability to build and maintain successful working relationships within the wider team are vital.
AI tools like ChatGPT or Copilot can be great for planning and preparing your application—but your answers must be your own.
- Show us the real you: Your application should reflect your skills, experience, and motivations authentically.
- Use AI wisely: It’s fine to use AI for ideas or to check spelling and grammar, but don’t let it write your answers.
- Why this matters: Applications that rely on AI-generated content may be withdrawn. By applying, you confirm your responses are based on your own knowledge and achievements.Tip: Think of AI as a helper, not a substitute. We want to understand you—not an AI tool.
