Working as a Bank Chef at Barchester, you will have the chance to deliver hotel/restaurant standards without the split shifts and long weeks. You will assist the Head Chef in creating nutritious, flavoursome and well balanced menus whilst working with residents to tailor menus around them.

Main duties of the job This role offers a great balance for chefs looking to work with fresh seasonal produce in a healthcare environment. The position requires helping manage kitchen operations in the absence of the Head Chef, delivering high-quality dishes, and ensuring a warm environment for residents.
The ideal candidate will have a personable approach and a genuine interest in the well-being of residents. Key tasks include managing stock, working within budget, and ensuring hygiene standards are met. Person Specification
Qualifications Essential A personable and warm approach with a genuine interest in the wellbeing of residents. Hold City & Guilds/NVQ/SVQ or equivalent. Experience in helping lead and inspire a team.
A good understanding of nutrition. Experience of working with fresh seasonal food. The ability to create a warm and welcoming environment within our home.
Good understanding of HACCP.
