By working together, we can drive real change for the NHS and enable our healthcare professionals to focus on providing excellent patient care. The Estates team are looking to recruit an organised and efficient Estates Support Manager.

The post will be based at Kings Court 2, Worcester but will have responsibility across both Herefordshire & Worcestershire. The role requires a high level of attention to detail, accuracy and the ability to work under pressure using own initiative.

Main duties of the job You'll lead the Estates Back Office Team, providing day-to-day management of the Estates Helpdesk, reception and post room, while ensuring high standards of customer service and operational performance.

You will also be responsible for Trust-wide utility management, overseeing supplier contracts, budgets and bill validation with the support of the Trusts Environmental and Sustainability Manager. You will also lead on performance reporting to support safe, efficient and sustainable estate operations.

Working closely with clinical, operational and corporate colleagues, you'll build strong relationships, coordinate contractors and resources, and help drive service improvements across the Estates and Facilities function.

You'll also contribute to policy development, lead on performance management and staff development, and play a key role within the Estates and Facilities Management Team, ensuring services are delivered safely, efficiently and in line with Trust objectives.

Person Specification

Additional Criteria Essential I understand the Trust is unable to provide sponsorship to work for this role, and employment on a time limited visa doesnt guarantee sponsorship at point of expiry.

Qualifications

Essential Educated to degree level and/or equivalent qualification or able to demonstrate equivalent standing through experience. Considerable experience working in a similar role within an NHS environment. I understand that I will be asked to provide original certificates to verify my qualifications at point of offer.

Desirable Postgraduate (or to work towards) qualification or professional accreditation. Prince 2 Foundation Level. IOSH or NEBOSH Qualification.

Experience Essential Relevant Estates experience within the healthcare sector. Line management of staff. Experience delivering organisational change and influencing stakeholders.

Managing complex projects, budgets and external contractors/consultants. Desirable Considerable experience working in an Estates management role, within a healthcare environment. Experiencing of managing utility contracts, including electricity, water and gas.

Knowledge Essential Expert knowledge of Estates functions, frameworks and relevant estates and facilities legislation. Strong analytical, problem-solving and project management skills. Excellent communication and influencing skills with the ability to engage at all levels.

Ability to work autonomously, prioritise effectively and manage competing deadlines. Experience of working in a policy-driven environment. Proven track record of leading a multidisciplinary team from diverse backgrounds.

Working knowledge of the internet and Microsoft Office applications. Desirable Knowledge and experience in environmental monitoring/reporting tools. Knowledge of NHS Estate code and Health Technical Memorandums relating to the post.

Skills and Abilities Essential Ability to challenge poor behaviour. A positive attitude and the ability to act on feedback. Ability to praise and be supportive of others.

Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English in both verbal and written formats. Manage resistance to change and the ability to deal positively with challenging situations. Ability to delegate and motivate staff.
