Job summary
We are seeking an experienced and efficient administrator/secretary to join our friendly 4-Partner GP Surgery in Pudsey, Leeds.The post is part-time, 28 hours per week, for a minimum term of 12 months to cover maternity leave. Hours and days can be agreed to suit the successful candidate.
A GP practice is a fast-paced, teamworking environment, requiring the ability to work under pressure and to absorb regular changes. Excellent attention to detail and high levels of accuracy are required to ensure an excellent and safe service for our patients.
Your duties would include various administrative and secretarial tasks, as listed below. We are a SystmOne practice.
Main duties of the job Clinical document management Sending and managing referrals on the eRS system Dealing with tasks in SystmOne Writing letters to third parties, eg. hospitals Communicating with patients via telephone, Anima eConsult system, email or letter Assisting in retrieving/re-filing patient notes Re-allocation of daily blood results to correct GP Using IGPR to generate copies of patient notes - training can be provided
About us
Hillfoot is a friendly, welcoming surgery. We believe in providing a stable and supportive working environment for our staff and a safe and efficient service to our patients. We have 4 Partners, 3 Salaried GPs, 1 ACP, 2 Practice Nurses and 1 HCA.
We also have a large administrative and care navigation team who is overseen by the Practice Manager. We are part of West Leeds PCN and together we provide many additional services such as dietetics, pharmacy support and physiotherapy.
We are also a training practice and have GP Trainees and regular medical students from the University of Leeds.

The Administrator will be responsible for undertaking a wide range of administrative duties and the provision of administrative support to the multidisciplinary team.
Duties can include, but are not limited to: Process clinical documents and test results Coding in SystmOne Supporting the administration and receptionist teams with patient referral queries and subject access requests.
Process incoming and outgoing mail, email and Systm1 documents Provide secretarial support File and store records as required Photocopy documentation as required Input data into the patients healthcare records as necessary Handling patient queries relevant to their role
Person Specification
Qualifications Essential GCSE grade A to C in English and Maths Experience Essential Experience of working in an admin/secretarial role within a GP Surgery; Experience of SystmOne; Experience of the eRS system (Choose & Book).
