NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde (NHSGGC) is one of the largest healthcare systems in the United Kingdom, employing approximately 40,000 staff across a wide range of clinical and non-clinical professions and roles. We deliver acute hospital, primary, community and mental health services to a population of over 1.15 million people, and to a wider population of 2.2 million when regional and national services are included.

The role:

The Acute Assessment Unit (AAU) at Glasgow Royal Infirmary forms part of the Emergency Care Complex and works closely alongside the Emergency Department to provide timely assessment, treatment, and ongoing care for patients presenting with acute medical conditions. Together, the Emergency Care Complex cares for approximately 300 patients each day. Join NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde, Scotland’s largest health board, and become part of a dedicated multidisciplinary team delivering high-quality patient care within our fast-paced Emergency Care Complex. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and compassionate Registered Nurse to develop specialist skills in emergency and acute medical care while receiving ongoing support from experienced senior nursing staff. You will play a vital role in assessing, planning, delivering and evaluating care for a diverse patient population while contributing to positive patient outcomes. Working within NHSGGC offers access to excellent professional development opportunities, supportive colleagues and the chance to make a meaningful difference every day.

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde (NHSGGC) may be able to provide visa sponsorship for certain roles, subject to the post meeting the relevant eligibility criteria. Sponsorship is not guaranteed and will be determined on a case-by-case basis following interview and during the pre-employment verification process. Applicants must state their current right to work in their application.
