About the role
Job summary
The BCSP Coordinator will provide high-quality administrative and coordination support to the Bowel Cancer Screening Programme (BCSP), ensuring all relevant patient documentation is accurate, complete and readily available.
The post holder will maintain databases and the Patient Administration System (PAS), ensuring information is recorded accurately and in a timely manner. The role will act as a key point of contact for the BCSP nursing team and provide administrative support to ensure the smooth running of the service.
Duties will include managing electronic patient records, booking appointments, maintaining accurate records and supporting the team with administrative tasks as required. The post holder will work with an external PAS system, with full training provided, and will develop a good understanding of relevant systems and processes.
The role will also support the team's health equity strategy to reduce inequalities and improve access to screening. This will include attending and supporting promotional and community engagement events.

The post holder will be required to work by the trust values and have empathy and a sympathetic approach to patients, family and their carers, whilst managing complex and confidential information. Full training will be given to the appointees.

Qualifications
Essential *Good general education, including GCSE English and Maths (Grade A--C / 9--4). *NVQ Level 3 in Business Administration or equivalent administrative experience. Desirable *IT qualification such as ECDL. *RSA Level 3 typing or equivalent experience within administrative environment.
Experience Essential *Experience working with the public and delivering high quality customer service. *Experience using Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook). *Experience using IT systems for data entry and information retrieval. *Experience working in a busy, fast paced environment. *Understanding of confidentiality, data protection and information governance requirements.
Additional Criteria Essential *Ability to meet the travel requirements of the role, including cross site working between Trust locations (e.g.
Queen Elizabeth, Heartlands, Good Hope, and Solihull Hospitals). *Ability to work under pressure and manage competing deadlines while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail. *Commitment to working to a high professional standard, demonstrating reliability, integrity, and initiative. *Willingness to learn, develop, and participate in training, appraisal, and personal development opportunities.
Desirable *Understanding of the importance of patient centred care and the role of clinical administration in supporting patient pathways.
