Lavender Oaks care home is an elegant care home providing 24-hour residential, nursing, dementia and respite care in picturesque settings for up to 75 elderly residents. The home offers ensuite rooms, pleasant communal areas, café, cinema, hair and nail bar.

As a Activities and Wellbeing Assistant you will support the planning, creation and delivery of the home's leisure and wellness programme which aims to encourage residents to participate in a wide range of engaging activities. You will ensure a programme of individual activities is available to enhance the lives and improve the holistic wellbeing of our residents. You will spend time getting to know our residents and tailor activities and leisure pursuits to deliver person-centred care.

About you

You don't need a background in care as we will provide a full training programme including NAPA Level 2, progression towards NAPA Level 3, and Awards for Supporting Activity Provision in Social Care.

You will need excellent computer literacy and reading and writing skills, and you will be able to communicate clearly with a wide variety of people, including our residents. You will be creative and well organised and you will have a genuine interest in active ageing for older people.

Weekend availability is essential as our Activities and Wellbeing Assistants work alternate weekends.

The successful candidate will be subject to the provision of satisfactory references and a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, and they must be authorised to work in the United Kingdom.
