Salary Available Upon Request 30 hours a week Practice Nurse VacancyAberbeeg Medical Practice & Cwm Calon Surgery We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Practice Nurse to join our friendly and supportive team. The role is for 30-37.5 hours per week (flexible for the right candidate).
Previous General Practice experience is essential, with skills in cervical screening and chronic disease management. Chronic Disease Management would be an advantage but Older Adult Vaccinations, Wound Management and an understanding of QAIF are essential requirements for this role.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist in and perform routine tasks related to patient care as directed by Nurse Lead and GPs Cytology Venepuncture Adult Vaccinations Requesting pathology tests, for example urine culture, swabs LTC management including Diabetes, Coronary Heart Disease, Hypertension, Asthma, CVA, COPD Ordering of vaccinations to maintain stock levels Ability to deliver COVID Vaccinations Following agreed clinical protocols with referral from GPs as appropriate Awareness of infection control and requirement to take part in infection control audit Participation in administration systems in the Practice (EMIS and Docman) At all times there will be a need to maintain accurate records A duty to advise GPs of potential problems or errors within a range of assigned tasks Attend and participate in any Nurse and Practice meetings when required Any other delegated duties appropriate to the post We offer a competitive salary, excellent training and development opportunities, and a welcoming team environment.

Qualifications Essential GCSE Grade 1 to C in English and Maths Nursing degree and NMC Registered Nurse Management of chronic diseases Cervical Cytology Applicants should ideally already have the essential skills and experience required of a Practice Nurse.
However, further training and support will be provided, where required, to enable the successful candidate to fully undertake the role and to develop or enhance existing skills.
