Job title Psychological Care Facilitator Hours 22.5 hours per week Salary £36,059 £39,056 per annum, FTE. Pro rata salary £21,635 £23,433per annum Contract Fixed Term 10 month contract Location Wildwood Drive, Worcester WR5 2QT
The role
Do you have experience in delivering psychological care for patients and families? Do you have the enthusiasm, motivation and experience to provide effective psychological care interventions for patients and carers? As a fixed term position the successful candidate will continue to build the psychological care service across the hospice.
The expectation of the role is to ensure provision of the highest standard of psychological care for patients and their carers/families, utilising a non-pharmological, holistic approach. The successful candidate will complete face-to-face assessments of the psychological distress of patients and informal carers.
This will result in the planning and evaluation of individual care programmes for those individuals. The post holder will work as part of the multi disciplinary team providing high quality psychological support to patients living with a palliative diagnosis and their carers including some group work.
This post requires an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check. Main duties of the job
About you
You will have an appropriate professional clinical degree in addition to a relevant well-being or psychological care qualification, you will have experience of providing assessment and support of people presenting with psychological needs and experience of applying an assessment and management process.
Experience in Palliative Care/Oncology and experience of working within a hospice, hospital or similar environment is desirable but not essential. A full driving licence and access to your own vehicle with the ability to travel throughout South Worcestershire is essential for this role.
