The Role
As a Housekeeper with F&B duties, you will play a vital role in maintaining assigned properties to an immaculate standard while supporting food and beverage requirements when clients and guests are in residence. You will help ensure properties remain in a constant state of readiness and deliver a seamless, discreet and professional hospitality experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Clean and maintain assigned properties to the highest standards, ensuring they remain in a consistent state of readiness in and out of season.
- Clean hallways, staircases, lifts, bathrooms, kitchens and other assigned areas using the correct products and equipment.
- Run water outlets regularly to help prevent legionella growth, complete required records and report any water temperature or pressure fluctuations.
- Assist with mattress turning and other manual tasks, always following Health and Safety procedures.
- Complete pre-arrival set-ups, during-stay services, departure deep cleaning and low-season housekeeping maintenance as directed by Management.
- Open and close assigned properties, including disarming and setting alarms, and report any alarm issues immediately.
- Monitor access to properties, ensuring only authorised staff and contractors enter and that contractors follow company procedures and sign in/out.
- Report maintenance issues, damages, stains and other property concerns promptly to the supervisor or Housekeeping Office.
- Process large quantities of laundry for collection and return, checking quality and reporting any discrepancies.
- Assist with stock takes and property inventories, maintain housekeeping equipment and notify Supervisors when replacements or cleaning materials are required.
- Monitor and maintain crockery, cutlery and table linen stores effectively.
- Attend to guest requests promptly and efficiently, keeping the supervisor informed of any additional requirements.
- Place food orders through the Housekeeping Office when clients are in residence and check deliveries for the correct quantity and quality, reporting discrepancies immediately.
- Set up and service accommodation for overnight guests and attend to their needs and requests.
- Ensure personal items left in properties are handled in accordance with the correct procedures.
- Maintain responsibility for allocated mobile phones and ensure they remain in good working order.
- Work flexibly on a rotating shift pattern, including weekends and Bank Holidays.
- Undertake any other tasks or responsibilities requested by Management within the scope of the position.
What We're Looking For
We are seeking a professional with:
- Able to speak and understand English (Essential).
- Experience in professional housekeeping and the ability to meet the physical demands of the role (Desirable).
- Training in the safe handling of hazardous chemicals (Desirable).
- A valid UK driving licence, preferably manual (Desirable).
- Reliability, professionalism, strong attention to detail and a guest-focused approach.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a high-standard hospitality environment.
