Early Intervention Team - Adult Social Care

The Early Intervention Team is a multidisciplinary Adult Social Care service comprising Social Workers, Occupational Therapists, and Social Care Officers. The team plays a vital role in supporting Clackmannanshire Council's strategic aim of delivering the right care, at the right time, in the right place.

Providing a robust and responsive "front door" service, the team undertakes initial triage, proportionate assessment, and short-term intervention to ensure individuals receive timely support and that needs are resolved at the earliest opportunity wherever possible. Through a strengths-based and preventative approach, the team promotes independence, wellbeing, and positive outcomes for adults and unpaid carers.

About the Role

This is a dynamic and rewarding frontline social work role within the Early Intervention Team. As a key member of our multidisciplinary service, you will work directly with adults, carers, families, and partner agencies to provide timely assessments, interventions, and safeguarding responses.

The role combines face-to-face practice within the community, office-based collaboration, and flexible home-working arrangements, offering a hybrid approach that supports effective service delivery while promoting work-life balance. Whilst the post benefits from hybrid working opportunities, it remains a highly visible and responsive frontline role, requiring regular direct contact with individuals, carers, professionals, and community partners across Clackmannanshire.

Working within a fast-paced environment, you will utilise your professional knowledge and skills to assess need, manage risk, and develop person-centred support plans that enable adults to achieve positive outcomes and maintain independence within their communities.

This post is considered Regulated Work with Children and / or Protected Adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. You will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check prior to a formal offer of employment being made by Clackmannanshire Council. Further guidance will follow in your conditional offer of employment on how to apply. Please note you will be required to pay for the cost of this application if your salary is over £38,000 per annum, which will be deducted from your first pay.
