Cleaner

Are you the missing link to our warm and friendly cleaning team?

We're looking for a reliable, friendly, and hardworking Cleaner to join our team at Lift Hockley, helping us provide a clean, safe, and welcoming environment where our pupils can learn and our staff can do their best work.

About the role

As a Cleaner, you'll play an important part in the day-to-day running of our school. You'll help ensure our classrooms, offices and shared spaces are maintained to a high standard, creating an environment that our pupils and colleagues can be proud of.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Cleaning, sweeping, vacuuming, polishing and dusting across different areas of the school.
• Emptying bins and helping to keep classrooms, offices and communal areas clean and tidy.
• Replenishing items such as hand towels, toilet rolls, hand soap and bin liners.
• Using cleaning materials and equipment safely and correctly.
• Supporting planned deep cleaning during school closure periods.
• Reporting any maintenance, health and safety or stock issues to the appropriate member of the school team.
• Completing relevant training and following our health and safety procedures.

What we're looking for

You'll be someone who takes pride in their work and understands how important a clean and safe school environment is for our pupils and colleagues.

We're looking for someone who:

• Is conscientious, reliable and friendly.
• Can work independently using their own initiative, as well as part of a team.
• Can follow written and verbal instructions.
• Takes a proactive approach and can prioritise their workload.
• Can maintain high cleaning standards within the allocated cleaning hours.
• Understands the importance of following health and safety procedures.
• Is committed to providing and continually improving a high-quality cleaning service.

Previous experience of cleaning and using cleaning equipment is required. Experience working in a similar environment and knowledge of Health and Safety, COSHH regulations and cleaning best practice would be an advantage.

This is a part-time position working 11 hours and 15 minutes per week, Monday to Friday. The working hours are 6:15am to 8:30am each day.
