Why this role matters?
The Process Governance Analyst is responsible for the day-to-day operation, maintenance and continuous development of the single SharePoint repository for Customer Directorate’s business processes, and the associated governance arrangements.
The role will ensure that processes are maintained, governed and reported in line with the Process Design & Management Policy and standards.
Acting as the central point of coordination for process governance, the postholder will support process owners, maintain the repository administration and governance workflows, monitor compliance, and provide reporting and management information that enables effective oversight and assurance.
The role will also assist with the development and maintenance of organisational capability through guidance, training, templates etc.

Job description
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and administer MaPS’ SharePoint repository for business processes, ensuring process governance records and metadata remain accurate and up to date.
- Monitor process governance activities, including approvals, review dates and outstanding actions, supporting resolution or escalation of issues where required.
- Configure and maintain SharePoint workflows, notifications and reporting solutions to support efficient repository administration, process governance and continuous improvement.
- Produce and maintain repository reporting and management information to support operational oversight, governance assurance and decision-making.
- Provide day-to-day support to colleagues using the Process Repository, responding to queries and helping users follow agreed standards and processes.
- Scope and triage requests for process mapping, process updates and repository changes, ensuring requests are logged, prioritised and routed appropriately.
- Maintain and improve process management guidance, templates, training materials and supporting content within the Process Governance SharePoint Hub.
- Assist with the delivery of training and guidance on process mapping, BPMN 2.0 standards, process governance and continuous improvement tools and techniques to support organisational capability building.
Person specification
You will need to demonstrate the following experience;
Essential
- Experience configuring SharePoint sites, lists, libraries and power automate workflows.
- Knowledge of BPMN 2.0 and experience creating or maintaining process maps.
- Experience producing reports and management information to support decision-making.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities, including providing user support and guidance.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills, with an interest in continuous improvement.
Desirable
- Experience of Power BI, Power Automate or other Microsoft 365 reporting and automation tools.
- Experience developing guidance materials, templates or delivering training to colleagues.
- Familiarity with process governance, process architecture, operational improvement or quality assurance environments

Flexible Working
At MaPS, we take pride in our flexible approach to work. As standard, we work on a hybrid basis with a minimum of 2 days in the office per month. Hybrid working is a voluntary, non-contractual arrangement and our headquarters in Bedford will be your contractual place of work. The number of days that anyone will be able to work at home will be determined primarily by business needs, but personal and other relevant circumstances will also be considered. If you are successful, any opportunities for hybrid working, including whether a hybrid working arrangement is suitable for you, will be discussed with you prior to you taking up your post.
