Responsibilities:

As a valued member of the Operose Health team, your key duties will include: Responding to patient queries and liaising with the wider primary care team as well as managing appointment requests, signposting patients to our range of services and maintaining patient records and confidentiality.

Main duties of the job We are seeking a dedicated Receptionist/Administrator to join our team at The Potteries Surgery. Responsibilities include managing patient queries, updating records, handling appointment requests, processing prescription requests, and maintaining confidentiality.

Candidates should have prior experience in a reception or customer care role, excellent communication skills, and basic PC skills, such as proficiency in Word, Excel, and email. Experience in the NHS is beneficial but not required. Join us to support great primary care delivery through improved access, outcomes, and patient experience.

Work 15 hours a week and earn up to £24,960, depending on experience.

Emailing, scanning and coding clinical correspondence. Processing prescriptions requests. Utilising other information systems to support efficient workflow processes.

Ideal Candidate: What we look for in new colleagues: Reception or customer care experience is essential as well as an excellent communicator both spoken and written. Must have basic PC skills such as Word, Excel and email. Able to work within processes, procedures and maintain confidently and data security.

Previous experience of working in the NHS is welcome but not essential.

Person Specification

Qualifications

Essential Reception or customer care experience is essential. Must possess excellent communication skills, both spoken and written. Basic PC skills are required, including proficiency in Word, Excel, and email.

Previous NHS experience is welcomed but not essential. Ability to follow procedures and maintain confidentiality and data security is crucial.
