School Business Manager at Holy Trinity Catholic Primary School in Wolverhampton, West Midlands

About the role

The Archdiocese of Birmingham in partnership with Wolverhampton City Council

37 hours per week. Working: Monday to Thursday, 8am to 4.45pm and Fridays, 8am to 3pm. Required as soon as possible. 

Holy Trinity Catholic Primary School is seeking to appoint a highly organised, motivated and committed School Business Manager to join our dedicated team. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional to play a key strategic and operational role within our successful and caring Catholic school community.

Working closely with the Headteacher and Governors, the successful candidate will lead and manage the school's financial, administrative, personnel and business functions, ensuring that systems and processes operate efficiently and effectively to support outstanding outcomes for pupils.

The Role

Key responsibilities will include:

  • leading the school's financial management, budgeting and procurement processes
  • producing financial reports and presenting information to Governors
  • managing administrative systems and office operations
  • supporting recruitment, payroll administration and HR processes
  • ensuring compliance with financial regulations, audit requirements and statutory returns
  • supporting site management, health and safety systems and contract management
  • managing and developing administrative staff
  • providing strategic business support to the Headteacher and Governing Body
