Aberdeen Maternity Hospital’s Theatre Team is on the lookout for two dynamic, person‑centred, forward‑thinking Band 5 Perioperative Practitioners (RN or ODP) to join our busy, specialised obstetric theatre service.

We’re a 24/7 emergency and elective service, and successful applicants must be able to work 12‑hour days, nights and weekends as part of our established rota. You’ll rotate across all areas of perioperative practice, anaesthetics, scrub, and PACU, while gaining specialist experience in obstetrics with the future inclusion of gynaecology and breast surgery.

We are looking for a:

• HCPC‑registered ODPs or NMC‑registered Nurse with theatre experience (or at least highly motivated to learn)
• A genuine interest in obstetric and women’s health perioperative care
• Strong teamwork, resilience and a commitment to high‑quality patient care
• Overseas applicants must already hold an HCPC or NMC PIN and be able to demonstrate competence across all three perioperative phasesWe offer supported development across all areas of practice, opportunities to broaden your skills within women’s services, and the chance to be part of a service on the brink of major transformation.
