Job summary

To assume responsibility for the management of Hyper Acute Stroke Unit including the assessment of care needs, the implementation of evidence based programme of care in the absence of the Ward Manager.

Person Specification

Qualifications Essential First level live NMC Registered Nurse or Registered Mental Nurse PP126/127 or AC631 or D32/33 or A1 or equivalent Mentorship Qualification or relevant equivalent qualification (essential requirement for post, expectation this will be completed within an 18 month period) Desirable Leadership course Management course Diploma or degree in nursing Qualification in specialty Experience and knowledge Essential Previous post registration experience Experience of relevant speciality Experience of co-ordinating a team Desirable Knowledge of or experience in coaching and mentoring practices and tools Knowledge of or experience in Quality improvement tools, techniques and methods Disclosure and Barring Service Check This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions.
