As an Assistant Psychologist you will be: Contributing to psycholo Main duties of the job As an Assistant Psychologist at Wellesley Hospital, you will assist with assessments, formulations, and treatment of service users under the supervision of a Senior Psychologist.
Your role includes contributing to psychological assessments and formulations, facilitating psychological interventions, and assisting in the design and delivery of specialist training. You will also maintain clinical databases and complete outcome measures.
Your work includes writing reports for various audiences and conducting service evaluations and other research tasks such as collecting, analysing, and reporting statistics. You will undertake clinically relevant audits and attend Multi-Disciplinary Team meetings.

As an Assistant Psychologist you will be: Contributing to psychological assessments and formulations Facilitating psychological interventions on a 1:1 and/or group basis to service users, monitoring and reporting upon their effectiveness Assisting in designing and delivering specialist training to others Maintaining clinical databases Completing outcome measures Writing reports for various audiences Service evaluation and other research tasks including collecting, analysing, and reporting upon an array of statistics Undertaking clinically relevant audits Attending Multi Disciplinary Team meetings To be successful in this role, you will have: A minimum of an upper second-class honours degree in Psychology conferring eligibility for Graduate Membership of the British Psychological Society (BPS) Experience of working in a forensic and/or mental health setting Experience of maintaining office systems and undertaking administration tasks Creative thinking, clinical efficacy, and a strong commitment to working with evidenced based models of therapeutic intervention Strong organisation skills Good interpersonal and communication skills To meet professional practice expectations including the HCPC standards of conduct, performance and ethics, and the BPS code of ethics and conduct Where you will be working: Location : Westpark 26, Chelston, Wellington, Somerset, TA21 9FF You will be working at Wellesley Hospital, a purpose built 101 bed hospital in Wellington (Somerset) for men and women with Mental Health needs.
There are 6 wards for people with Mental Health needs and 1 ward for people with Learning Disabilities and Autism.
The Wellesley Hospital built in 2017 works alongside Devon Partnership NHS Trust, Avon and Wiltshire Foundation Trust, Cornwall Foundation Trust, 2gether Foundation Trust, and Livewell to deliver the best possible environment for patients with Mental Health issues.

Person Specification
Qualifications Essential A minimum of an upper second-class honours degree in Psychology conferring eligibility for Graduate Membership of the British Psychological Society (BPS). Experience of working in a forensic and/or mental health setting. Experience of maintaining office systems and undertaking administration tasks.
