Senior Traffic and Road Safety Technician

What will your day look like?

As a Senior Technician in the Traffic Regulation Order (TRO) team, you’ll work with colleagues to bring practical technical experience to a wide range of traffic and road safety issues that affect people's everyday lives in North East Lincolnshire.

You’ll support the delivery of traffic and road safety programmes by administering all aspects of the statutory Traffic Regulation Order process. This will require you to work with colleagues to carry out public engagement, develop & test proposals as well as supporting colleagues to draft and publish legal Traffic Orders.

You will need to confidently manage technical information, maintain accurate records and ensure that Traffic Orders are completed in line with statutory guidance and timescales.

You’ll also be a key point of contact for routine technical queries, helping colleagues, Members, partners and the public understand information clearly and confidently.

This is a hands-on technical role where your technical skills and ability to confidently engage with people and interpret technical information will make a real difference. 

Who are we looking for?

We’re looking for someone with experience in a relevant technical or professional field who is comfortable working with data, records and statutory processes.

You’ll need to be organised, accurate and able to manage competing priorities and work to deadlines.

Experience of preparing or contributing to reports would be helpful, along with experience of public engagement.
